In Leading High-Performing Teams, a program designed for managers and executives looking to enhance their leadership skills and maximize team performance, you’ll learn how to leverage your team's strengths and unique perspectives to drive results.

You will gain the research-backed knowledge and tools necessary to lead diverse teams to success. Through interactive and practical exercises, you will gain insights into team dynamics, develop essential leadership competencies, and acquire the skills needed to drive collaboration, motivation, and results. Explore the unique challenges and opportunities that come with leading diverse teams, develop strategies to foster an inclusive work environment, and acquire skills to maximize team performance and collaboration.

Faculty:

Naomi Rothman, Ph.D., is a professor of management at Lehigh University’s College of Business where she holds the Scott Hartz ’68 Term Professorship. She also serves as the Associate Dean and Director of Undergraduate Programs. 

Naomi is a leading expert on decision-making in teams and the benefits of emotional intelligence and intellectual humility for decision-making.

Through her research, Naomi examines the cultural norms and values organizations and teams can employ. Naomi has written in numerous academic journals and her research has been covered in various media outlets including New York Magazine, Fast Company, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, BBC, National Public Radio. She was interviewed by Shankar Vedantam of Hidden Brain Podcast in 2022 about her research on ambivalence.

Naomi holds a B.A. in Sociology from UC Davis as well as a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from New York University, Stern School of Business.

Participants in this program will:

  • Develop strategies and approaches for promoting constructive task conflicts.
  • Learn about the three main challenges of information sharing in teams, and acquire tools to enhance communication skills to facilitate effective team interactions.
  • Gain insights into emotional, communication and motivational techniques and strategies to inspire and empower team members, driving higher levels of engagement and performance.
